Craig Kuepker, REALTOR®Skogman Realty
Skogman Commercial · Iowa City & Cedar Rapids

Commercial real estate across the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids corridor.

Buying, selling, or leasing commercial property in Johnson or Linn County. I represent buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, and investors on every type of commercial property, and I look at a site the way someone who has planned, surveyed, and built on them does.

I've lived in this corridor my whole life and worked in it for more than 20 years. I'm a REALTOR® with Skogman Commercial, which has offices in both Coralville and Cedar Rapids, so whether your property sits off I-80 or along the I-380 corridor, you're working with someone who knows both markets.

Who I work with.

Every property type.

Two markets. One agent.

The corridor isn't one market. A block off the Ped Mall, a Coralville strip center, a North Liberty flex park, a downtown Cedar Rapids building, and a Marion pad site all behave differently. Here's how I cover both sides.

IC

Iowa City area

Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, Solon, and the rest of Johnson County. A fast-growing market where new development keeps reshaping where businesses want to be. Read the Iowa City commercial guide.

CR

Cedar Rapids area

Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, and the rest of Linn County. More older inventory, and building history that matters for insurance, systems, and price. Read the Cedar Rapids commercial guide.

Why my background matters.

Before real estate, I worked for a civil engineering firm in planning, land development, and surveying. I helped design lot layouts and infrastructure for residential and large commercial projects across the corridor, then went into the field to stake utilities, lay out buildings, and set lot pins. I know what it takes to turn a piece of ground into a usable site, and the questions to ask before you commit to one.

I've also operated a general contracting company, so when a space needs to be built out, I can help you understand scope, cost, and timeline from the start. For the full breakdown, see what drives commercial build-out costs. And as the owner of several rental properties in the area, I understand investment real estate from the owner's side of the table.

"The best commercial decisions get made before the offer or the lease: zoning, utilities, site work, build-out, and the real cost to operate. That's where I spend most of my time with clients."
